Just 4 months after its “Grand Opening,” Spotlight Innaloo had to close its doors today (Saturday April 5th), on its busiest weekly trading day, on account of the deluge INSIDE the store. Sure enough it was raining buckets outside but every spare bucket, bin, towel and rag was being seconded and working overtime within the store as a profusion of leaks were raining down like sprinklers from above. Perhaps someone should have had an inkling that the roof might not be waterproof when great globs of wet cement fell through it during works on the upper deck car park and adjacent Anaconda showroom. However, unfathomably, these issues seem to have gone unaddressed. Anonymous sources report that the architects brief ran along the lines of; “get this thing built yesterday, already!”
